Brook Furrow

Brooke graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Social Science from Western Washington University with a background in teen and youth development. She interned with local nonprofits, working with a variety of volunteer organizations that served youth or adults with disabilities and  edited essays in the Writers Workshop. Brooke is also very familiar with the FAFSA and scholarship application process.

Brooke worked in Seattle at Pacific Science Center where she helped operate the largest STEM-camp program in the country, managing the high school volunteer program. This program was responsible for placing high school students in STEM-centered camps around the Seattle area reaching hundreds of high school students across Seattle. Through this process, she gained an understanding of what it means to be one of a thousand applicants at a highly sought-after institution.

While working at Pacific Science Center, Brooke developed a passion for working with young adults and harnessing the power of a student's own motivation. Brooke has transitioned career paths from a focus on adolescent development in a community setting to young adult advancement in higher education, where she uses the knowledge gained from past career experiences and her own personal insight to help high school students achieve their dreams.
